Sycamore Gap 2026 National Theatre Connections

Finally after weeks and months of rehersals, emergency recasting and hard work it is SHOW TIME!
On Saterday the 21st and Sunday 22nd of March our very own InterACT YT will be performing at Neston Town Hall as a part of the 2026 National Theatre Connections Festival. They will be performing Sycamore Gap by Al Smith which they have spent the last few months rehersing under the direction of Little Actors Theatre Artistic Director Samantha Giblin and assistant director Joshua Stevens.
These shows are an important milestone in this years Connections journey as on the Sunday a director from the National Theatre is coming to help guide the cast towards the proffesional venue performance which will be on the 27th of April 2026 at Crewe Lyceum.
Sycamore Gap, written by Al Smith, is inspired by the real-life felling of the famous “Robin Hood Tree” near Hadrian’s Wall. The story unfolds the day after the tree has been cut down, when the police arrive at a school to investigate. The twelve members of the eco-club become suspects and are questioned one by one, while tensions rise and friendships begin to fracture as they try to uncover the truth. As accusations fly, deeper questions emerge about responsibility, community, and the pressures facing young people today.
You can book via the QR code on our poster or by the links on our social media and website, or by simpling contacting the Little Actors Team directly. Tickets will also be available on the door but book now to avoid missing out, seats are filling up fast!!!
