Little Actors was successful in securing funding from Brightlife Cheshire to start an over 50s group. The over 50s company was started in February and was subsequently named by the membership Brightlights Theatre Company. Work began on creating a play for entry in the 2019 Leverhulme Drama Festival. The group had a good initial response and has gone from strength to strength. By October the play was fully formed and ready for rehearsal. The group has an enthusiastic membership of both actors and a back-stage team and is led by professional actors Mike Lockley and Samantha Giblin. The Leverhulme Festival will be in April 2019 when the play will be presented for adjudication.
