Kojo is 14 but no one believes him. Ara’s from Baghdad and still hears the bombs at night. Cheung can do backflips and is from a village in China that is more than a 1000 years old. All have their stories. All have their secrets. Cheung’s mum died on the lorry coming over to the United Kingdom. A land of promise, a land they thought would open up its arms now does not want them. Orphans in London, they are the only family they have now. Kojo is the new boy. Together they tell his story. A story of lost childhood, tall trees and a murder in motion, a murder by a child that everyone says is a man. Kojo is 14 but no one believes him, just one of the unaccompanied minors arriving in London, abandoned on the streets of the UK.
